At That Broke Moment

Have you ever reached at that point in time
When in your pocket you don't have any dime?
And where and how to get it seems a mystery
Before your eyes, a haze full of gray

You suddenly remember the wallet in your pocket
Hoping that your last spending in your market
Spared at least a coin or two save being a spendthrift
Poorly tho, dust flees from the dead-beat old wallet

The realities of need and want hit so hard
The voice of death calling you fear you heard
But vehemently you scratch your head thinking
Of how you will save yourself from sinking

You wonder what was the reason for the season
That left you like a lion without any mission
Cos in it you drunk, ate and drunk some more
Forgetting the life outside the pub door

Now you wallow in your bed of lies
Not seeing any life before your eyes
Because all you pray for is fortune
That it may find you still in a good tune

Hey bro, heard that you are turning eighteen
Then certainly there must be some feasting
But as you continue to grow
There are some things you need to know
So I got some advice for you
That as you live each day anew
Remember that time flies really fast
And that what is gone belongs to the past
So brace yourself for each and every day
That comes and goes away
Know that you are unique
In what you do or even speak
Thank God for what He gives
For that life He gave to you to live

Am Nostalgic

This is for all those I keep at heart
Pals, relatives and all you beautiful people
Who I have chewed some fat with at one point
During the dog days that’ve now long gone

A pang of nostalgia grips me
Whenever my mind wanders to the time we’ve had
The jokes we cracked, the banter that knew no end
Least forgetting how we laughed our heads off
Any time we would gang together

What a pity it is right now
That the good, old days are now just a memory
But the peeps with whom they were made
Forever will be endeared no little
Cos we lived life, loved and laughed

As life moves on, tackling each day as it comes
How hard I pray that in God’s blessings they drawn
That love, favour, care will accompany them always

About a God-sent girl to him is right
In her every way and every right
Cos for me she's made








She starts my day with just a hi
And that raises my mood soo high
Kick-starting my day at whole new level

Her face shines even on a rainy day
For she was born my heart with love to fill

My norm to pray that she keeps her smiles

I wonder and ponder where she was all my life
For I waited without tire to see my wife

So I swear that in my heart her love will be found
That for the rest of her life she's safe and sound

At this point and time in life

I look back at the years of old

That have flipped down to history

Enchanted for being such a victory

Days slipped to the arms of the ages

But their legacy speaks out loud

For being during the times of the child

A dad of a man no mild
